Our History

Link Insurance proudly opened its doors on February 1, 1983 with Wayne Gretzky as the Chief Guest for the inauguration (sorry Calgary Flames fans).

Started by Syed and Amina Hyder in 1983, Link Insurance is a family business with strong Alberta roots.

Today, Link Insurance is part of the Sharp Insurance group of companies, led by President Sherif Gemayel.

Currently, there are nine Link Insurance locations spread throughout Calgary and Edmonton. Link offers insurance policies from some of Canada’s leading insurance companies. Despite its steady growth, Link Insurance and its employees have maintained a community presence with an emphasis on customer service.
